Strawberry Fetish is a sweets shop on the B2F of Shibuya 109 that specialises in ichigo-ame, the Japanese festival classic of fresh strawberries coated in a crisp layer of hardened sugar syrup. Opened in 2019 as Japan's first dedicated ichigo-ame shop, it has since become a popular stop for those with a sweet tooth exploring Shibuya. The shop offers a colourful variety of tanghulu-style treats, featuring not only strawberries but also green and purple grapes, all encased in glossy, crackling candy shells. Flavours include cheese cake, strawberry milk, and other creative twists on the traditional recipe, making each visit a chance to try something new.
Located in the basement of Shibuya 109, the shop is open from 10:00 to 21:00 and is just one minute on foot from Shibuya Station's A2 exit. It is a wonderful place to pick up an Instagram-worthy treat while exploring the Dogenzaka area.
